Met some new people at the snipers hide meet. The event was to get a chance to get to compare scopes before you actually buy them. Many would feel uneasy when spending several thousands on an unseen scope.

Overall to me the PR Heritage 3-15 was the best. The Hensoldt was great with its eye relief but the price will scare you. Got to see some USOs, they were eh. The new kid was out also, PR Heritage 5-25.

    Off to the photos.

Impromptu Water Test. Huge ass storm came in and we had to take the scopes off of the tables.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, I would have loved to been there. Not a whole lot of people bumping nice glass 'round here for me to try.

So you weren't impressed with the USO? What's the story with it? I had a little time behind one of the old SN-3's, but that's about it.

Oh, you get a chance to talk to that strange lookin' asian fella in the black t-shirt and sunglasses? ;)

    Awesome pics.

I have used a USO SN-3 and I was happy with that.

    The PR Heritage was nice.

I can't imagine using a 25x scope. I could probably see my cells moving.

That's a USO inspred sex toy that John III uses when he has house guests over.

He's dubbed it the "SN9". Mentioned something about being a 10-42 over at SH, though I think that was in reference to how many bitches he's plundered with it.

LOL, I was wondering when the photoshops were gonna come. Me and Reman know that guy from another board - cool dude.

    Here's my favorite of him:

That's my favorite part about the shot show. All the optics. Every manufacturer has them mounted on blue training rifles too. Makes it much easier to get a feel for the scope.

The USOs had a variation on the feeling of the turrets. Some would feel great while others would feel kinda mushy. There would be tunnel vision going down to the lower powers. Eye relief was a disappointment with me and and the other guys.

Yep, I did get to talk to that asian guy. :naughty:

Wish I had that kind of coin to drop on a scope.
Also wish I had a rifle that would benefit from that kind of scope... Some day, Some day...

Surprised no IOR's attended. I've always kinda been curious about those...

Funny that Tburkes mentioned the USO eye relief thing..... That's something I noticed about the one I was using - they really aren't very "friendly". I vaguely recall hearing John say one time that he could make a scope "friendlier", though at the cost of FOV. Would be interesting to see...

Anything REALLY stick out in your mind from playing with everything? Premier still the hot shit in comparison to everything else? What's the deal with the Hensholt stuff? Supposedly the optical resolution of them is really leaps and bounds above everything else, even to people who don't get caught up on such things?

    Details, brotato.
