    Hey guys,

I finally got my tattoo drawn up, I'm pretty stoked with how it came out with the shading. This will be my first tat, and would just like some opinons what you all think of it, be honest.

I'm a pretty skinny dude, 68kg, but its going to stretch from shoulder to shoulder on my back.

    Thanks OT

Theres no back story to it, my life isnt that interesting, the way I think about it is, if it makes you happy, then do it.

I just wanted something pretty different, and I told the artist the ideas in my head, and showed him some pictures of other tattoos I liked and said 'take inspiration from this, and create what you want'.

thats pretty badass, but if there's no meaning then why get it for the rest of your life?

make it mean something to you before you get it

I like it but I dont. It does look cool, but it seems so simple. Almost tribal like. Of course it would shoot the cost up, but I think it could look better with a lot more detail.

:werd: I think if you want to do it as a full, shoulder to shoulder backpiece, you should incorporate some more detail/elements into it

Reminds me of a tribal Trans Am hood sticker.

I really don't like how much space there is in it. Seems unfinished. I think it is a very unoriginal idea, but some people don't mind that. Basically, it is something that I would never put on my body, but if you like it, then go for it because that's all that matters.

:ugh:tattoos dont have to have meaning, just because you think they have to doesnt mean everyone else thinks the same way, some of us just like the way something looks so we put it on ourselves

It reminds you of a nazi symbol?

Thats what I'm most afraid of, people mistaking it for something its not, like the transam symbol or a nazi symbol.

I have seen hardly any tribal phoenixs, which is what it can best be described as, even though its not a true phoenix with a long neck.

Cool man. Do what makes you happy. If you can live with you and will be content, go for it.

:hs: @ being different / never seen phoenix&tribal tat BUT.... good luck with the rest, let's hope he can shade a damn and not just outline.

OT: One of my best friends walked into a tattoo parlour, saw a phoenix on the wall and wanted it.
Few hours later he had it, didn't even check to see if the artist who drew the picture was the tattooist, no background info nothing... I just couldn't do that to my body, something could go badly wrong..and the guys over here are not all that great. :/
