GUN got my saiga12 from the smith today

    got my saiga12 from the smith yesterday

    he parked then duracoated it, colorfilled the safe/fire, added a detent for the safety position.

    now all i have to do is get a stock since i'm not 7' tall. :rofl:

    I found out the other day that the guy I use for all of my ffl transfers is converting saigas now. He's like 10 minutes from my house :hs: can't decide if I want to get the stuff to do the pistol grip and folding stock or save it for more 9mm ar shit.

    I think it's going to look much better once I get that factory stock off and get a regular length AK stock on it.

    It is. 2-3" too long in fact. It's the factory stock so obviously it was correct length when the trigger group was a few inches back.

    ill probably get him to do that later. i didn't pay anything for the work or parts (besides the stock i have to order) so i didn't want to push it. :o

    He is going to charge me $650 for Tromix folding stock, tromix trigger gaurd and pistol grip assembly, shark break, g3 sights, and duracote

    My guy charges $225 for a basic conversion including parts. I'm not really a fan of the Tromix, nor folders unless they are short barreled so I didn't go that route. I'll probably just stick with the K-Var stock and do a Tromix handguard (for another compliance part) and HK sights.
