Its been almost a year and a half since my bad highside. Two days before my insurance was up for the year I decided to go ahead and turn it in. The adjuster came out, looked at the bike and a week later I got a check. Now I'm with another insurance co . Since I think this is the most badass color scheme for a bike I went ahead and got the same color. Now I can use the old plastics for track days

Here is the bike with the old plastics and the new on the ground. Don't know why the lines look edged with this dang camera...

Yeah....little issue and lesson learned..Don't try and turn the front stand no matter how slow you do it to try and get the bars turned....Look at my 3 week old new Akra kissing the concret atleast it was on the old plastics. Ended up breaking all the mounting tabs on my headlight...However we fixed them:) Glad it wasn't on the new plastics...

And here is the final, after deeply cleaning the entire bike while everything was off was such a good idea, this bike looks brand new!

Now im affraid to ride it haha. I know how much money and work is involved just changing everything over. Were going to Jennings for 2 full days of nuttin but track, so were going to put all the old plastics back on for that including the old gas tank. Tomorrow im getting that vac to bleed the front brakes for the new SS lines :wiggle:

That's my favorite color combo for the Gixxer 1k too.

Was it originally a Canadian bike?

Yes. In the first pic that is what came on the bike. I love this color so much that I had to get the same again :)

My wife also has a Canadian bike, she has the Silver, Black and Red 04 750 :bigthumb:

    Congrats!

Stupid Suzuki doesn't bring in the cool colors into the US. I don't understand why... :wtc:

    god that looks so badass

did you resize the pics? that usually causes the lines to get jagged.. use something like photoshop to resize them

No? I was wondering why it does that. I have my camera set on 640x480 and thats the size it comes out. I don't know??? If you have any ideas please share :)

I clean everything except the plastics with Simple Green...even my chain. That stuff rocks!! But when I clean the bike I also use a toothbrush on places a rag can't reach. After then I then wash with soap and water. Tellin ya, try Simple green and on your chain then of course put chain wax on it :wiggle:
