This thing is a tank. I'm glad i got the medium because it is HUGE, the large was only $10 more but shit it must be gigantic if this is the medium. The build quality is awesome and the internal dividers are also much much nicer than my old tamron bag.

The zippers have this really slick rubber seal on them to keep out moisture. Here are a few pics (ignore unfolded laundry on the couch :o )

Loaded up with 2 bodies, 6 lenses and an SB800. there are some spare dividers i took out too. the whole divider compartment comes out too if you want to use it as a regular backpack.

Not sure what this is for, but there are two of them. Filter or memory cards maybe?

Side access to lenses so you can grab one without taking it off your back. one on each side.

Weather sealed zippers. These are really slick.

    Cover for the shoulder straps.

oh, and i has a grip now too :big grin:

I highly recommend this bag, it wasn't cheap, but i think it's worth the money. It has a laptop compartment too for up to a 17".

i thought you were supposed to reverse the hood for travel
that does look like a nice system though

I think that hood is to keep the straps tucked out of the way if you want to stow it. There's a weather hood stored in the bottom that covers the whole bag.

oh haha, yeah probably. There's no cap on that lens just a filter so I stuck it in there with the hood to take pics. I usually do reverse the hoods though.

:big grin: now i just need to get out and take some new pics. I stopped by the Nation Museum of the Marine Corps today on my way to work to try and snap some pics in the early sunlight, but i wasn't too happy with them. I couldn't get up to where i wanted to shoot because the dudes in the security truck were looking at me funny since it was 6:45 and they don't open until 9am

    I kept the D70s when I picked up the D300 :o

it's a separate compartment that isn't used if there isn't a laptop in there

although if it's really thick you might have an issue.

it was $189 from Adorama, the olive/black was a little more for some reason. Thanks for the tip on the straps.

yeah, comes in black/black and a few other colors too.

:werd: All the bags I tried with my lappy wouldn't fit all my gear and my Acer 17" laptop. I ended up getting a HUGE Lowe Pro Vertex 300 AW to fit my gear and heavy brick of a computer. I hope I don't have to travel with it all any time soon. :noes:

    D300 has a 28-70 2.8 the D70s has a 50mm 1.8.

If had reversed the hood on the D300 like i should have, I could fit something longer on the D70s I imagine.

hows it feel while walking around?

my current bag, fully loaded up makes me feel really top heavy, and its not good for hiking steep terrain or or boulder scrambling
