A&P Got my 350D...

    first few shots, just messing around with it tonight. Gonna spend the night reading the manual so I know the manual modes like the back of my hand :dunno:

    third shot is decent for the first few shots. most first-time dslr pics people post usually turn out pretty shitty lol

    Clifford the big red dog in 1 and 2 ...doesn't look natural. Either the whitebalance is way off or the saturation is through the roof. Just doesn't look right.

    The third shot is nice though... would be nicer if you got a D70 though...:hs:

    EDIT: Also for your third shot consider the rule of thirds and do not frame the subject dead in the center. The way that tree is shaped I think it would look good on the left hand side of the frame with a different subject in the center.

    E.g.

    | f llllll> |

    Where in my diagram the |'s symbolize the edge of the frame the f is the tree and the llllll> is a boat or something.

    Just make sure you don't get dust or pieces of plastic inside your camera. :nono:

    I'm considering a 350d for my g/f. SHe wants to get into photography.

    Would this be a good camera to start with?

    where'd you get your tamron lens? im just about to order this as well to replace the kit lens.. unless i could find a better replacement for the price.

    thats right. Have to have the rebate offer in by August 15th :noes:

    it was only a 30$ rebat eon the Tamron though.
