Verizon just started offering Fiber Optics in my area. i jumped at the opportunity, especially considering it was about $12 CHEAPER than my Cable.

Here is my latest test. This machine is on wireless, my machines connecting via ethernet are slightly faster. :coolugh:

:o Call up Verizon. They are not advertising or promoting it yet. I knew about it through word-of-mouth.

But that's sweet as shit. Too bad Verizon isn't in Wisconsin. Too bad civilization isn't in Wisconsin.

This thread was created in C&P, not moved. :dunno:

Too bad Verizon doesn't serve many areas of Michigan. :( SBC needs to get their shit together. ;)

Ah, I saw the same thing in OT, figured it got moved.

SBC is the worst telecom of all time. I got their DSL the millisecond it came out, and got the competing cable company's internet service when it came out 1 yr later

I wish there was any sort of competition among ISPs here. In most areas around here, there's exactly one DSL provider and exactly one cable provider, and neither seems to have reason at all to improve their service, which is terrible.
