This was taken at 1/8th shutter speed, i kept trying to catch her shooting. I had to try and predict each shot. This was her first time to the range ever. Somehow i managed to get this awesome shot. It totally looks photoshopped though. :( I also got another pic of the brass ejecting but it's not nearly as good as this one because the pistol and her hands are moving up due to the kick.

Man I think you got lucky getting that shot. Looks like you captured the muzzle blast but with the hammer was exposed while cocked :big grin:

You need to fix her grip, her right thumb should ride on top of her left thumb...

I know..it was hard telling her every single thing in one visit. It was her first time shooting ever. Her first grip was the left thumb crossed over the rear of the gun. lol I told her the 1911 is going to bite you when you shoot it. We need to change your grip.

I think that is because the hammer was cocked for most of the exposure then when it fired, shortly after the shutter closed and didn't record the hammer down. It is strange i know. I just had to post it.

I can post the original pic in full resolution. I swear this isn't a photoshop job. I just brought her over and tried to explain the muzzle flash vs. hammer cocked deal. lol
