Got this when I was 18, big mistake.

I told the artist what colors I wanted and basically let him do whatever he wanted. My camera sucks.

Done on September 3rd at Deluxe Tattoo, Chicago. Ben Wahhh was the artist, he also owns the shop, highly recommend him if you're in town ;)

I don't mind the look of the original. But the new one is VERY nice.

    Congrats

Just goes to show you get what you pay for!

    Thanks everyone.

The get what you pay for comment made me laugh, I got the original one 10 years ago in Gettysburg, PA, it was $250 :ugh:... I didn't know any better.

The cover up cost $300 before tip.

That's VERY good. I wouldn't have known that that wasn't done all at once.

    Thanks all.

At first he wanted to make it into a skull, I nixed that idea.
So I told him to make it look as less tribal as possible and make it look biomechanical.
He drew an outline on my leg w/ a pen free hand and went from there.

Maybe on a bigger, more detailed tattoo.
He drew the basic outline in under 10 mins on this one :hsughno:

What color is it, it looks all black to me.

I can't believe you were charged $250 for the original, does anyone else find that outragous?

I would say he's extremely talented, then. I like how the use of shadows and sharp angles in parts also gives it a futuristic, yet art-decco, flavor.

Fucking right it was. This is who inked me:

I remember her being a fatty, but that was 11 years ago.
Tattoo needed touched up and I was told it wasn't going to be free, I never went back to that shithole.

He is very talented. I wouldn't of recommended him otherwise. ;)
My GF, who's lived here longer then me, says he's 1 of if not the best artists in Chicago :hsughno:
I'll get her to post the work he's done on her tonight.

Mostly black with some white and grey.

fuck it, I'll show you one picture of one of her tattoos by him only because I told him to use the same kind of color scheme in mine, this was also a cover-up.

I shouldn't of called her a fatty, that has nothing to do with her quality of work.
But yeah, I wouldn't recommend her.
