Got a SUB and AMP

    so i got it from my friend 200 cant beat that when the amp alone is like 400 haha.. i will install when this ****ing weather gets warmer.. still tryin to decide how my set up will be any ideas.

    what size gauge wire should i use from the battery to the amp ?

    what's the model on the amp? I am so-far unimpressed by your junk sub and q-logic enclosure.... hopefully the amp redeems the deal.

    the amp is just a junk Kicker amp, unless you didnt notice.

    you can probably use 4awg on that amp... depends on the connections, 8 awg min though

    I have two Kicker Comp VR's this the 4 ohm voice coil and that amp with a q-logic box. That amp bridged gives me about 225watts RMS per VR and a resistance of 1 ohm. I used 4-gauge street wires as well as a rockford fosgate cap. That is really loud and cool. Honestly, I think it was overkill.

    Is your sub a 2-ohm, cause if it is that sub can take up to 400 watts RMS, and unfortunatly that amp pushes more than that, so be caureful, you could fry it.
