Went and saw some awesome guns at the gun show. Didn't really find any fantastic deals on ammo. I found a really good deal on a K98 rifle from 1941 with Nazi markings. It had a 5 digit serial number that the guy was selling for $329. I am kinda kicking myself in the ass for not picking it up.

Anyways, I left with a Para Ordinance LDA Hi-Cap (12+1 .45 ACP) Pro Carry 12. It fits perfectly in my hand, is all stainless, doesn't have a giant beaver tail and it has a concealed hammer. The trigger pull is awesome and has about the same weight as my old Glock. I wish I could post pics of mine, but my wife has the digital camera. I will get some pics later on, but, these will have to do for now. :)

Nice gun, looks perfect for conceal carry. Are you going to CC it?

Yup. My friends and I start our conceal course in a few weeks I believe. My shift is finally changing back to Monday - Friday so I can take the weekend course. My schedule has been all screwy lately.

I can't wait to carry this gun. It feels so awesome in my hand. Now I just need to find a holster...

I was looking at the warthogs too. But, they were either all black or black with chrome accents. The beaver tail was to abnoxious for me too.

The MSRP on my gun is $1155, and I got it for $799. :) The guy at the gun show is from my mom's home town. He went to school with her and knows my uncle (my uncle was the sheriff for 20+ years).

Yes! LDA stands for Light Double Action. The trigger pull is amazingly smooth and easy.

It's just basically a double action with a really light trigger pull. Instead of 12lbs its more like 4 or 5. Its really really smooth. I liked it alot. Sweet gun.

that's a pretty sweet deal from the original price.

I'm guessing that it's considered a compact 1911 size? or is that the officer's size?

Considered a compact 1911. One reason why it has the concealed hammer and no beaver tail.
