I dont really post here, but I figured I'd share.

the actual art itself doesnt really have any sentimental value to me, I just fell in love with the double helix when I saw it..I had it put on the back of my right calf :)

    here's the original:

It was $250, but I fixed the computer at the shop so they did it for 100+tip :big grin:

im going to be completely honest, the artist could have done a better job
some of the lines are a little off and the shading isn't that great. You might want to go back

yea the shading looks a lot more on point in this one, I think the helix is pretty hard to make look right

Haha, get over yourself, you really think that you're the first to have a split double helix inked?

im going with TotalEclipse02 on this one. the shading looks very blurred right now (might still be healing) but you can also see some of the rungs of the helix dont meet up properly at all. Could have been done a lot better.

:mamoru: no tattoo is gonna be perfect, especially a split double helix...and if you're talking about rungs lining up..look at peter's :o just at a glance, most of his dont line up..but like i said, none of them are gonna be perfect, and yes it looks blurred mostly because it was about 2 hours old when i took the pic

and here's mikes split double helix... the two rungs i circled are COMPLETELY offset although they should line-up. if an artist at my shop did something like that they'd be in A LOT of shit and the customer would get a very cheap tattoo if not free.
