We always joked we should show up to an idpa match in anti tactical gear. Like 3 piece suits with dress shoes etc. That or show up all gangstered out. I could only imagine how hard they would sweat us and not let us shoot. IDPA is a joke anyways.

Then we joked about how we should show up at a cowboy match in a delorean dressed all 80's with 1911 single stacks, colt A2 ar's and Rem 870's. Cowboy folk being the good sports they are would probably let us shoot.

Lastly show up at a uspsa match all 80's out. With the op short shorts, 1911 single stack in leather race holsters, big trucker hats, knee high socks, nike's and the biggest hick belt buckles that can be had. Oh and tight polo shirts with the collars popped up.

That shit would be awesome. Some of these clubs/shooters have absolutely no sense of humor, and need to be put into check once in awhile.

The thought of showing up all gangstered out to a stiff IDPA match makes me chuckle. Dudes wouldn't know wtf to think.

I like my desert eagle better.

It has a battle worn sort of blued finish on it.

    100% agree

  12. They'd get all upset that you weren't taking the sport seriously. That's what happens if you try to take anything lightly in IDPA.

Yah, but to be fair it isn't necessarily IPDA as a whole, that style of "game" just seems like it is popular with all the tools. People take themselves too seriously.

Actually the cowboy action guys are pretty strict about dressing 'period', as they put it.

I imagine he (like me) was looking for pics of a attractive older lady, naked in cowboy boots, shooting a six-gun.

    Have any of those handy?

I think its fucking awesome that she won those awards.

I wish to hell that my mom was into guns.

Hell I wish my wife was into guns and would do the whole dress up thing.

Oh well. At least he has a bad-ass momma.

It would help me out if my wife didn't look over my shoulder and see a huge ass pic of her mom on my "gun website". ;)

I hope you didn't get that impression from our club. Cel has dressed up on a few occasions. He's dressed up in an 80's suite before and shot, and one day he came dressed up as a construction worker. No one has given us shit about it.

I can't stand the IDPA purist on the other boards, but it's not really like that at NWPPA. And everyone there knows I'm the IPSC match director for the club. If anything they just call me the Youtube guy or Hot Rod.

  25. No, but from things people have said on the internet. Renton is a pretty cool club, even the old guys have fun.
