Well bought it about a month ago just never got around to posting...

Its a Rem 700 SPS tactical. Chambered in 308 with a 20" barrel. Comes standard with a Hogue over molded stock. Its a good alternative for people who want a rifle similar rifle to the Rem 700 police but dont want to shell out $700+. I got it for $550.

Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (SAMSUNG-SGH-I607/I607FG1 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 320x240))

I want to get another in 300 win mag, fluted barrel for hunting. My 308 is just too heavy for a long hike in rough terrain.

Thats awesome! I've wanted one of these for a while now. I have a New England single-shot .308 with a bull barrel. If this rifle shoots a group like my New England, I may start looking into one.

Thanks. Not quite sure how good it'll shoot just yet. haven't fully sighted it in yet. Only had one box of ammo :hsugh: when I initially took it out, the shots were getting better but its not fully dialed in yet.

I managed a 1/2-2/3 MOA with 1981 Lake City Match in mine. I think I got a freak gun though. I bought it for $160 very lightly used, and I have a $35 Simmons 3x-9X x40mm on it.

My SuperSniper is a great scope for the money. I got the 20x model and I love it.

If that was metal I might consider it.

    That would suck for hunting.

I think a fixed 20 would suck for just about any application :o

I plan on buying this exact rifle early next month.

Throw on a 10x SuperSniper, some decent rings, and a bipod and I should be
    set.

Local shop claims to sell that rifle for $532, hopefully they have it in stock :)

I have been trying to sell this 700ADL 7mm MAG on GA for almost a year!
I saw some other guns posted here, hopefully I don't get in trouble for this one. The Simmons scope is NEW unfired, its a replacement for the 10yr. old Simmons scope that wouldn't hold a zero. The scope alone lists for $150.00-$200.00 and I have been asking $395.00 for the package. Any takers? The scope is pictured with the sun-shade in place. The rifle itself is in great shape, the trigger breaks at 3.5-4.0 lb a few small scratches on the stock that you can't see in pictures.

    BTW "nice SPS!"

I have been looking into this a little bit but im not sure where they sell them, how much they are, if they are hard to install etc.

Here are some 700's with detachable mags....

Does anyone know who makes these? Are they specific to certain 700 models or do they fit all 700's?

From what i've seen, they're all metal, can't remember who makes them, but they're expensive as fuck. Like $150 for the trigger guard, with 5 rnd mag, and the mags are around $30 for a 5 rnd, and $60 for a 10 rnd. Kinda rediculous.

Btw. you have a full res of that last picture? that is background worthy.

I have an LTR, and it shoots pretty well. I managed about 1" at 100yds with portugese nato surplus. I haven't shot quality ammo through it yet.
