Second year in a row, 1 day apart, no corn or bait of any kind.

I saw him following a doe and knew where I needed to get to have a shot. I went as fast and quiet as I could, but he came out of the brush while I was about 20 yards short of where I wanted to be, I blame the huge hangover I was sporting. Would have been a 45 yard shot.

The day had started warming up, it was now getting up to about 75 so I had to strip some clothes off. Drove down the road a little bit and chugged a redbull, then went looking for him again. Sure enough, he was following the doe across to the other side of the road.

I circled around the mot of brush they were in and let my scent blow to them, the doe took off, but the buck didn't. I grunted once and he came out headed after the doe. At 30 yards I drew, but he busted me and took off. I grunted again and he stopped at 60 yards. At this point I was too stubborn to let off, I picked my bottom pin and let it fly. Hit him a little far back, but I spined him so he didn't go anywhere, walked up and took an easy 20 yard shot that finished him immediately.

Shot my buck last year on 10-30 and this year on 10-31
I haven't scored him yet, but he field dressed 120 lbs. That's fucking big for here.

Very nice, never shot or eaten a Deer before.

Did you prep it for eating yourself?

Haven't scored it yet. He's not very wide, but we don't have the restriction in that county and width is really the least important of the measurements.

I quartered it and it's in the ice chest draining. I let the meat sit like that for aa few days to let it bleed out. I have a friend that is the USDA inspector for four county. He de-bones, cuts into steaks, double tenderizes, and packages for $50.

Yeah, they call it 'The Shaman'

When I walked in it was like I was a rockstar. You could see everyone that had a pretty decent costume go "FUCK!"

That guy liked it so much that he's going to frame the costume and hang it in the restaurant that's attached. He's making me some custom wood art that he does in exchange.

My dad was a sheetrocker for years. I used to play on them all the time. I have an Uncle Sam and a Pimp costume for them too. Head to toe purple crushed velvet and snow leopard fur, with a 6ft cane:rofl:
