I'm officially on PCS leave today. I signed out of my unit and have my car mostly packed and ready to roll. 3000miles and 41hrs of driving later I should arrive in the often rainy but very beautiful Pacific Northwest back home. It sucks to leave my good friends behind here but its just another step in my career so I'm glad to be moving on. I hope the drive goes well!:noes:

Remember - it's not the destination that counts. It's the journey.

    Enjoy your trip!

See Ya in the West in September GT!! I start in Fort Lauderdale, FL (my leave addy) and end in Anchorage, AK. People think I'm crazy for driving but like Ranger said.... the drive will be worth it (plus I get to see my girl when she's at school!).

We'll just have to see how traffic is in some areas and how fast I want to drive. I'm not off to a good start as it's 3:12am and I plan on trying to leave around 6am. I haven't slept. :(

Haha well I passed out at 4am and woke up at 9:30am. I finally hit the road around 10:30. I arrived in Champaign, IL after being on the road for 13hrs. Going to try and make it home in two more days. Don't want to have to stop one night just to wake up and drive 4 more hrs.

Eh...My buddies are in the 82nd. One is a Sniper so his gig isn't as bad but the others aren't...I'm sure as hell glad I'm not there.
