I'm looking to migrate (and fix) my big message board. My old service had over 200 gigs of bandwidth, 30 gigs of space, and such and such for around 90 bucks a month. Something similar anywhere? Also, that could get me up that same day?

    Thanks.

you can get MUCH better for less money.

You can get a dedicated server with 80GB+ hdd and 1000GB+ bandwidth for same.

    Wow, $90/mo for that?

There are a TON of free hosting providers nowadays.. Keep a backup of your site and databases offsite just in case they're fly by night though.

    I use www.65gb.com personally.

Most of these are scripted to auto-create once you reply to the activation email.

I need that 200+ gig of bandwidth to be able to handle 200+ users who can access the site quickly.

200 users accessing a web forum is hardly enough to take down most 50mb-100mb connections.

But I'm just a network administrator with plenty of webhost experience, what do I know.

I didn't say that you didn't know anything. But 200+ gig bandwidth is needed because I've been running this site for over 4 years and on an average, 200 gigs isn't enough for almost 200 members on a site concurrently.

If I hurt your feelings, I'm sorry.

I'm not very knowledgeable in what I should get. But essentially, I need something with an up to date MySQL.

Half of those free hosts have unlimited GB of bandwidth.

They should also say their current MySQL version. Just find the fit for you.

    Not dedicated, but $6.95/month (http://www.anhosting.com)
    250gig storage, 2.5 terabyte bandwidth

and this one I think is better: http://www.1and1.com/ and have dedicated starting at $99/month with better bandwidth/storage than what your getting

I hated their control panel and canceled within a couple days.

I've been using Hostgator since and have been happy. Tech support treated me real nice one evening as well when we had to migrate servers so some of my shit would function. Prices aren't as good as some however...

I think host monster might be a better deal....300 gb storage and 3 tb bandwidth and only $4.95 a month.
    http://www.hostmonster.com/

They were also rated #1 by these guys.
    http://www.top-10-web-hosting.com/compare.htm

    Anyone ever use these guys?

Anyone know a good host that offers JSP and ASP support??

I have heard negative things before about 1and1 in this forum. But I've been developing websites for about 5 or 6 years and I've gone through a ton of crappy hosts. 1and1 is the only one I have had a 100% good experience with. 100% uptime from what I've seen. All my computers home pages are set to my websites and I have never in 4 years seen a second of downtime or slow loading or any kind of problems.
