There is a domain I want that is expiring soon...best way to snag it?
how do you know when they are expiring?
I got a few using GoDaddy's service.
I don't know enough about it to suggest any specifics but I do know that some will pick up certain registrars while others won't. Like I think godaddy will only catch godaddy drops for you...not real sure how it works though.
Check with the site that it's hosted at currently and see if they have some kind of backorder program.
Pool.com has the best success rate in catching. I've used them before, and they have the largest network of registrars that all hammer the registry as soon as the daily delete starts. Domains will drop usually 75 days after the expiration from the whois, sometimes less, so get setup well in advance.
