I carry a SA XD9 SC. I like it, and my wife shoots well with it. She is thinking about getting her own cpl gun, but wants something smaller and probably single stack so it's easier to carry in her purse or some other sort of holster that would be easy for her to carry.

Recommendations for compact ccw guns, preferably single stack? I'd like to try and keep it 9mm.

PF-9. The hammer block safety broke on mine but everyone else has not really reported any problems I need to send mine back.

I have a Kahr MK9 (the older steel frame version), Which I carry fairly often.

I also have the XD9 SC, but I don't have a holster for it yet. I do plan on it being my primary carry gun at least in the winter time.

I think that the way they shoot is comparable. The Kahr has a little more bite to the recoil, but not bad at all.

The added weight from the extra round capacity of the XD will bring it up to the weight of the steel frame Kahr. The Kahr is definitely smaller. Its overall size is about the same as my S&W 442, only not as thick (due to the drum).

Any more questions, just ask. :)

I've got one, it's a great little gun.

I have a PF9, and like it, but a word of warning, the recoil is very stout. It could be far to much for a female shooter.

She could probably handle it, she lifts weights and kickboxes with me (and is 6'0" about 170), so I'll let her know and leave it up to her to decide.

Mine has been flawless, and didn't require the infamous breakin period of a Kahr.

What's the issue? Buy both! :wiggle: I wouldn't trade my PM9 or my P32 for anything. I would supplement them with a P3AT and perhaps a PF9 and a P380

I've never heard of this issue

    PF-9 & CT crew :h5:

My pf-9 has been great, but it's a little painful with the full self-defense loads. Under stress it really won't matter. It dissapears in a pocket for me and has been reliable since I bought it.

We went this weekend to browse at the gun store, and she liked the PPS. Our friend has a Keltech, but she didn't like it in her hands. We're going to find a place that rents a PPS, and try and shoot it, but right now that is what she wants.
