What do you use as a shooting pad?

A Marine Major I use to know had these green canvas ones that were nice. They were slightly padded in the middle and has two triangles that folded out to the sides. The front foot also had a black rubbery type surface on it. He said he bought them at an army surplus store but I've never been able to find them.

    Considering doing the same...

Like the blackhawk mat but it's not worth $110.

omg, he might shoot 100 rounds slow fire prone over a course of 2 hours and have bruised ribs and elbow the next day from supporting his weight on them, not to mention friction burns on exposed elbow from shooting in short sleeves becuase louisiana summers are hot as fuck.

IL+1 for a bitch ass cunt.

btw, i hope your dog gets hit by a car or someone feeds it an arsenic laced cut of meat.

Yes, because shooting on concrete I get to enjoy rolling around on a hard surface all afternoon, rubbing against a nice rough surface everytime I pull the trigger from the recoil, and have a nice rough surface to lay my $400 stock on. Sounds like a fucking winner

I do have to say, you give some of the BEST advice out of anyone on WMD. Thank you for sharing your valuable experience and knowledge with us.

I don't think I'll ever be in the same situations as you since you are a cop.

I plan on shooting competitions with this rifle and in the future as well so that is my primary goal with what I do.

I'll check out Eagle. Blackhawk has a nice pad but it is really overpriced

Kind of like this one except it's expensive like the Blackhawk one.
