I was at my local range today and saw a CPO (certified pre-owned (used)) Sig P226 for $599 with case, lock, and 2 10-round mags :)greddy: CA). The outside finish looked really good with no signs of holster wear and the only noticeable wear was where the slide and barrel meet, which will start to show even after a few hundred rounds. Keep in mind I live in CA so I can't get CDNN prices on these guns. There was no rail so it's an older model, but I don't plan on adding a light or laser. I plan on using it for general target shooting and some Limited-10 IPSC. Should there be anything else I look for when buying a used Sig? Thanks

They have CPO's for CHEAP, supposedly they are really good people to deal with too. He usually has 226's in stock.

:mamoru2: Picked it up today with 5% cash discount. They had 2 others and it looked like it only had about 200 rounds or less through it. No wear whatsoever. I think I fired more out of my Glock during my first range trip with it. The guy said I could use it at their range during the week, I just can't take it home until after Thanksgiving. :greddy: waiting period

They had a new looking P239 in .40 S&W there for the same price, but I didn't think I needed another .40 compact in addition to my Glock 23. Next on my list (after :greddy 30 days) is a nice 1911

Forensic Studies Group, I'm in Sacramento though
Ordnanceoutsellers has great prices and they have a ton of FFL's on file and listed on their web site. My transfer was $55 including a background check.

is that $55 standard, or is it only for your FFl dealer? Most dealers around me want 50-100 + dros which kills most of the deals

$30 + dros is the cheapest I found and $75 + dros was the most. Just call around. I actually went to a place today where they only charged $5
