I'm not really familiar with them but after seeing that recent thread with the tacticool stock...I want one.

Is it better to buy or build one?

    Info?

    estimated price?

go to walmart, pick up a periodical called "shotgun news"

they have parts kits for it and also the whole rifle from different vendors.

And stop playing call of duty.

Judging fom the thread he's referring to. He wants an M1A, not a M1 Garand.

For an M1A/M14 on the cheap side of things you can get a used chinese copy for $750ish, or for a new good quality one theres www.fulton-armory.com starting at around $1800.

Yep, I guess I was wrong.

I believe it is an M1A that I am wanting, after doing a lil bit of research.

Thanks guys. And damn those things are pricey.

Mine is from Fulton Armory and it is perfect. I got a service grade for my grandfather and when he died, my grandmother gave it back to me. I think they are around $1300, but it's better than they were new.

So these aren't something you can build, such as an AR/AK? You pretty much have to find an old one?

M1A/M14 parts kits aren't something you come across very often, and building from all new parts will not save you any money.

I wouldn't get a new commercial one, but that is just me. My Fulton is all USGI except the stock and barrel.
