so I was just curious about the following numbers amongst professional wrestlers/athletes (like olympic level)

    1 mile run time
    bench press
    dead lift
    squat
    Consecutive pull ups/push ups

Sorry if it sounds like I'm trolling, I am genuinely curious is all.

Ben Johnson squatted 620 at 200 pounds.

Benched 335 @ 22 weighing 175 so Im sure hes over 400 pounds now.

    There's no way he's over 225.

see him around town every once in a while. Last year he was in adds for an energy drink called "Cheetah"

and his tag line was "I'm a cheet-ah!"...it was gold.

    yeah, i misread BNR's comment...as he said "he's over 400lbs now" not "he's benching over 400lbs"

Dan John has an article somewhere talking about his recreational football team. He says his clean is about what the largest player on the other team is. So given that he was an olympic level athlete but he is playing weekend football that seems like a good starting point

Don't confuse me with you. One of us is an athlete, the other just looks like one. I lift weights for strength in sports and have been doing competitive sports for 16 years. Get your one trick pony shit out of here.

or you could just watch some oly videos on youtube or the bulgarians dvd from ironmind and see how strong olympic athletes are. Fuck look at the 19yo oly lifter in the other thread bench pressing 500 pounds.

blah blah blah, Bolts great and all, but Ben Johnson was pure awesome.

His coach wrote a kickass book about the entire Ben Johnson story.... It's called Speed Trap. In it are meticulous notes about Johnson's stats as he progressed over the years. I don't know if those bench stats/weight are correct, but if they're not, they're in the book.
