tacoma is easily the best... But I'd want the V6... the 4-banger is gutless. If you want the lower-stance from a stock ride, then look at the S-10 with the 4.3L V6.

What do yall think of a 80's Dodge Ram D-50?
I might be able to get one pretty cheap.

    The all important question.

About 50k will get you behind the wheel of a Jeep Rubicon Wrangler based pick up truck. Exclusivity rating is through the roof though with a total production number after the first batch of 32, including the 2 prototypes.

Or you can settle for an S10.:mamoru:

I really like the chevy 262, as well... but it's hard to say that the jeep straight-six isn't great, too. It's a toss up between those two motors... Both are great, and which on is "best" will depend on who you ask. Now if you were asking what truck was overall better, then the jeep has nothing on the chevy, lol.

I dont know what you case the tacoma case off of, since I had a 2002 Tacoma and hated it. Traded it in for an 03 Frontier and way prefer the nissan. The tacoma has a cheap feel to it when compared to the nissan. The way the doors close, and the interior in general

I'm leaning towards the S10. But i don't intend to use it for "truck purposes" lol. i'd want the S10 Extreme, or just get a regular S10 V6 (whichever i can afford lol) and lower it myself (might be cheaper that way). more into racing than offroading look.

friend's dad has a frontier, i don't like it much. maybe he just treats it bad but it rides really bad, and it squeels and shakes alot. he just drives to work (boeing engineer), nothing intense. but maybe he's wrecked it and i don't know about it.

s10 extreme is lame. I'd say go for a regular V6 s10, then drop a 350 in it and lower it. If you don't want an engine swap, then get an s-runner with the TRD supercharger.

I believe the current model is the 3rd generation.

    82-93 is designated as a 1st gen
94-03 are all 2nd gens, 98+ just had the grille change, interior, and just the new 2200 motor

there is no current s-10....the last s-series was the blazers in 04 if i'm not mistaken, the current "colorado" is a mid-size truck, not even considered to be a new s-10

? not true. i've seen trucks do 10 on the track, most cars around here won't even do that.

cars are fast, so are trucks. they just take more work/power cuz' they are heavier (well some trucks like the S10 are pretty light).

Deffiantely get an S-10. SO many cheap parts and is very realiable.
    FIrst gen = boxy
Second = new front end, its rounded
Third gen = colorados canyon (they share the same Vins, they start with a S or a T just like the s-1o would, therefore = 3rd gen)
