Just wondering where some of you LA guys would recommend to go to buy my first handgun. Do any of these places have built in ranges to let you try some out first prior to buying?

two separate things as far as i'm concerned.

if you're near downtown, they have the la gun club on alameda that has a decent selection of pistols - glocks, sigs, some kimbers, among others.

go with a couple of friends and rent different ones?

i did that but ended up getting something else entirely lol.

almost none of my friends are into guns... :hs:

i'm annoyed at that law where you can't rent a gun by yourself...

prob a good reason for it, but annoying nonetheless

Not a law as far as I know. The buddy system is instituted at many ranges to reduce the occurance of suicide. Does it work? :dunno:

PPTs are limited to $35. If you pay more than that, the FFL is violating the law.

I've only been to 2 places that i know that sells handguns.

    http://www.oaktreegunclub.com/

That's where i bought my handgun. Then there's:

    http://www.gretasguns.com/

They have a really good handgun selection. All kinds. The most that I have seen but then again i don't know that much. Hope this helps.
