I am looking for a good pair of headphones in the $60 or so range (give or take a little)

i have the ipod in-ear headphones and am not incredibly happy with them...i guess i want something quicker and easier than having to reach around your ear with your other hand every time you put them on

anyways, any style headphone is fine...just want something with some good bass and good sound quality...size isn't too important

    thanks

Grado Labs SR60. They run $69 i believe, but they're real nice.

two friends have the same type of sony headphones that sound amazing...don't have the model number offhand, but they are basically professional dj headphones and go for $170...it sounds like you actually have a speaker in your ear and from the bass i heard, there is probably a magnet in there...can i get anything similar for my price range?

For home listening I've got a pair of Senn HD535. Portable, I've got the PX200s. Either can be found under your price range, although the 535s you'd have to settle for used on...

i've been thinking about the sony in ear headphones in white

anyone know anything about these? i think the model is the Sony EX71

they are getting decent reviews online...my ipod in-ear headphones just don't fit right...i've tried following all the instructions online and i can get them in deep enough to sound good, but they are either uncomfortable or they fall out...the other ear buds don't even come close to fitting

also a quirk i have with them is that to get the best fit, i put it in with the chord parallel to the ground and then turn it clockwise to get the best seal...but when i do this, the silicon will sometimes go with my ear rather than stay in place on the ear phones and even though the seal seems tight, it will fall out easier

basically this is for my ipod for working out...i want the best sounding headphones that aren't enormous and would be good for working out...the ear buds that came with my ipod are ok but they fall out once in awhile and the foam pieces fall off (i'm on my last replacement already and have only had this thing for a week) whenever i put it in my pocket or backpack (and i can't find them)

Sorry, i forgot about the thread. I got them, they were INCREDIBLE. They're very hard to get positioned correctly in your ear(but once they're in they're not coming out unless you want them to), if you're not hearing clear sound or hearing muddy bass they're not in correctly. I had to return mine because the extension cord was broken, but i can't wait to get the replacements.

BTW I believe the white EX71s are only available overseas. I just received the black ones today from amazon that I bought to replace my EX70s. They were running a good price on them ($29.95) but it has since risen.

are those comfortable? i can't stand any of the earbud style headphones i've tried.

Grado SR60's own, best $70 i ever spent. they sound like $800+ speakers. :wiggle:

Looks like they are getting them from overseas. I was contemplating getting the white ones too until I saw these on sale plus I was a little worried about them getting dirty. The EX51s, the lower line, can be had in blue, red, or white.

Open style headphones: Grado SR60's or SR80's or Sennheiser HD 555's

Closed style headphones: Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's

Koss and Sony make some "decent" headphones, but you can get better stuff for the price. I'd go with Grado or Sennheiser but make sure you read the reviews first because not everything Sennheiser makes is sex for your ears...but some of it is. :)

Either Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's or Grado SR60's.
