looking into getting a handgun, what are some good brands/size to start off with. Ive shot a few guns before(.357, 9mm, .22, 12ga). Also how hard is it to keep them clean and in good working order?

there is a sticky in this subforum that should take car of this thread.

around here we seem to sackride pretty much any Glock, smith wesson M&P, springfeild XD, and some others.

maintenance is not anything a semi-educated adult can't handle.

I think everyone should start with a Daisy around the age of 8. Since you're a little late you may want to jump up to a Deagle. :kdubbd:

There's a gun show this weekend where I live. I'm going to go check out the sprigfield xd .45 and the glock .45 and see which one I like better. I already have a S&W .357 w/6 inch barrel.

if you're partial to "full" frames, check out the XD Tactical .45 in Bi tone. Freakin sexy gun. And in glock the 21sf. You should also check out the M&P .45 to match your wheel gun. Only thing that sucks with the M&P .45 is the fact that it's only a 10 shooter, while the others, XD and Glock are 13.

Oh, I'm stupid, I'm not down with the lingo here. I thought his bro may have been a gun shop owner or something.
