I am trying to learn how to start burning dvd's, my new computer came with a nice dvd burner but I don't know what software will let me get past the encryptions on the movies. Could someone recommend some software? Thanks :naughty:

DVD Decrypter - To rip (free)
Pinnacle Instant Copy - To compress and burn (not free)

If you need any help, drop me a line

I use DVD Shrink (free) to do the rip and compression and then use Nero (not free but it came with my DVD burner) to do the actual burning.

DVD x Copy, it will let you get around the encryptions on the movies. I think the company just went out of business tho, but you can probably dig up a copy somewhere.

I'm not sure DVD X Copy allows you to compress the movie to one disc if needed. The few times I tried to use it, it always made me use two discs. And I like to keep all of the extra features too. I also wasn't aware it can crack the copy protection. Just FYI... Maybe someone can correct me.
