A&P Good deal?

    I can't afford the D700 YET..well, I can but my wife & I just bought a house and awaiting to close escrow. I stumbled upon a brand new in box D300 with 18-200 for $1800. :eek3:

    Im about to pick it up tomorrow? Should I???? :noes::noes:

    Upgrading from the XT which i've been using for 3-4+ years


    ***edit*** the last sentence didn't make any sense.

    kinda high considering the d300s just came out.

    I wouldnt buy it.

    how much should be the going price for it?

    bh, beach, adorama, jr, etc ranges from $2200-$2400+

    well used prices are pushing 1600-1700.

    900-1000 for the d300
    500-650 for the 18-200

    Buyign NIB from someone is practically buying Used in Nikons eyes, unless they provide you with an original receipt.

    Now if you found this deal at a store, it would be a decent deal

    ok...i didn't buy the D300 however I found a D700 + 24-120 for $2600 which I would rather pick up next week. :big grin:

    again not a great deal unless you were buying brand new from the store, and even then, not that great...

    d700 is running 2200 with Bing Cashback BRAND NEW from Adorama.

    They are pushing around 1900-1950 online barely used.

    Now that lens can be had for 275-300 from keh.com.

    You are not saving much, if any at all.
