GUN good deal?

    I dunno..... Lets look at it this way.

    Being as that's the old school Savage w/o the Accutrigger, it's basically a Stevens 200. You can get those new for <$300 (never use MSRP to gauge pricing, you are only fucking yourself. Look for other WTS ads and see what people have actually paid in the past), and used you can completely STEAL them oftentimes.

    Basically, the action and barrel are the only things on that rifle that aren't garbage. You might be able to sell the scope/rings as a package seperately, but you probably won't get much out of it (unless you can sell it locally to someone who doesn't know any better). Same for the sling, studs, and all that other shit. I'd see if he wouldn't price the gun sans all that stuff, just to save you time/hassle.

    When talking Savages, I still think the cheapest way is to just snag a used Stevens 200, and go from there. In their credit, the Savage is pretty easy to work on (save bedding the fuckers), and you could probably get fairly far for little if so inclined.
