    Nearly New Black Macbook

    Features
    • 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo Processor
    • 512 RAM
    • 80GB hard drive
    • SuperDrive™ (DVD±RW/CD-RW)
    • 10/100/1000 Ethernet
    • AirPort Extreme
    • Bluetooth
    • 13.3" display
    • Mac OS 10.4.6

For $900, I was going to buy a refurb from Apple, but I found this on Craigslist.org for the same price and it's a little faster CPU wise.

    Good deal?

Is the Core 2 really that much faster? Plus, I'm a poor student with tons and tons of loans :hs:

:dunno: I'd rather just buy the extra memory and save the extra money and buy something else, espeically with Christmas coming up :hs:

I'm currently running a 1.7ghz centrino dell and I know this will feel faster than my current machine, which is perfectly acceptable to me.

Do you think it's worth the 200 more?

Also: do the macbook pro and the macbook use the same type of ram?

Yes they do use the same ram, and the machine lateralus is refering to is actually $1300. The 1100 one has a 1.83Ghz c2d and 512mb of memory, so go for the macbook from craigslist.
