Price seems a little high. A M38 is a M44 with no bayonet, I bought a really good condition matching numbers M44 for $109

    7.62 x 54R

you can buy Mil Sup cheap.. even brand new Wolf is only 20 cents a round

used in Russia to dislocate shoulders for medical reasons.

I still have a bruise and limited movement from saturday.

I got an m44 mosin New in wrapper for $150, He giving you all the accessories with it? if its in like new condition its not to bad, you could do better mailorder but after shipping and FFL fee's it'll come out to be more then that one. Shoots 7.62x54R which can be had pretty cheap, most of the mil surp ammo is corrosive but no big deal as long as you clean the gun after every range trip they were designed to shoot corrosive stuff. The round is used in Mosin's, SVD sniper rifles, PKM machine gun and a couple other weapons it wont be going anywhere anytime soon, Wolf S&B and a few other ammo companies also produce it.

If you had a c&r you could probably get one in excellent condition for 120ish with all accessories.. They're great rifles shop around a little first maybe can find another local place for less.

My M44 was $83 to my door, and my M38 was $112 to my door. Those were both from AIM. both of them are really nice little Boomsticks.

My Dad bought my 91/30 for me as a gift so I don't know what that one cost.

    C & R rocks. :bigthumb:

Oh yeah, forgot about my K31, hand picked, walnut, $132 to the door.

So if I know someone with a C&R I can just have him receive the transfer for me right?

Anyone in Phoenix metro have a C&R? :x:

To be honest, I haven't really looked into the laws about transferring after I've bought a C&R gun. I don't have too many yet, so getting rid of one hadn't crossed my mind. I don't think a person with a C&R can actually "receive" for you. I think a person with a C&R can sell a gun to improve their collection.

The C&R is only $30. I'd just get one if you're interested in some of that stuff. Beware... If you have some interest now, once you get you're C&R it'll bloom into a case of full-blown mil-surp sickness. :bigthumb:
