It's alright, but that hardware's a bit dated, and that HD seems really small for the proce. If you're looking for something cheap I guess there's nothing wrong with it though. If the person bought winxp/office and he transfers the license certs to you along with the machine, then I see no reason why they would not be legit.

Bottom line: I'd continue to shop around.

XP pro and 2003 are worth more than $105... which leads me to believe they are not legit licenses.

by "comes with xp pro and office 2003" he means preinstalled, i'm assuming...no way hes giving me legit copies

so if given 140$, i can do better?

and yeah, need a comp in this range, not looking for p4's and stuff

well then my only real gripe would be the tiny hard disk, for two reasons:
    1. unless all you plan to do is edit office docs, it's too small.
    2. Its most likely VERY old, and old el-cheapo ide disks have a way of dying on you.
As far as the money goes, probably not unless you know someone who's got tons of used hardware laying around and willing to give you a deal on some of his old stuff. As far as shops are concerned, good luck. You could also check ebay, if that's your thing. A quick search turned up a k8 class (sempron) machine for $140.. of course, it's got complete crap components in it, but its $190, new.

My honest recommendation is to wait until you've got more to spend. Seriously, for a little more money (few hundred $$), you can do A LOT better.

    *edit* 140=190..go me..

well, I cannot recommend you get pirated software... so I suggest you format the machine if you do buy it.

Okay, you just said that you could care less meaning:

If you had 10 units of care you could care from 0-10 units. This means you currently care a little bit.

The proper way is to say:

I couldn't care less -or- i could not care less, basically this means:

You are at the absolute smallest level of care, ie: 0. You cannot care any less than 0 therefore you care the least.

    Please take this into consideration.

This goes for you too TTribaLL :o

It is not a good deal because it's illegal.
