good dc gyms?

    I'll probably be there for the summer. Can anyone recommend me a good one (i don't really care if it's too "commercial" or not, as long as it works)? Preferably near a metro.

    there's a million Washington Sports Clubs around dc, but they definitely are of the commercial variety

    in for this. will be living there over the summer (NW area) and supposedly have a gym in my apartment complex but I'm sure it sucks the nut.

    As long as they have the equipment, I could care less about the people surrounding me.

    In for this as well. I will be visiting for a week early this summer and would love a place to workout a few times while I am out there.

    fitness first is the one i go to. the DBs go up to 140-150....

    thats usually a good sign.

    and none of that BS "no intimidation zone" crap eeither.

    They offer a free one-day guest pass. I might have to go there when I am DC.
