    No. Okay? No.
Man. He could have died so easily doing that. If I'm walking down the street and five people get out of a car, 2 with guns pointing at me, I'd probably give them anything they want, even if I was carrying.

Props to the guy for taking control of the situation and coming out alive. If this would start happening more often, maybe thugs would think twice before pulling that shit.

Oh, and I heard somewhere else that the girl who died was pregnant. Not that it really changes anything.

Once again, I'm pleased to live in a place where you are allowed to stand up for yourself and not worry (too much...) about getting shafted for protecting yourself.

He's lucky he didn't get charged with violation of the Official Code of Georgia, Annotated, Section 16-11-127:

    http://www.legis.state.ga.us/cgi-bin/gl_codes_detail.pl?code=16-11-127

He was carrying a defensive weapon while at work at a sports bar (Jocks and Jills) prior to walking home and getting attacked on the way.

Just wanted to let everyone know how insane the laws restricting weapons are here in GA...

It says pocket knife. Even if it was a decent sized single-blade folding knife, he can still get away with it, since there are plenty of real applications for that. You probably wouldn't get charged with anything criminal unless it was something like a Ka-bar, or bigger.

Maybe it was a swiss army knife, with a bottle opener on it, so he could use it at work.

lol, FTW. But yeah, that law is designed to prevent people from carrying bowie knives around on their hip. I would say a pocket knife is pretty clear of that.
