The Walking Dead - http://www.otcomixcrew.org/index.php?dir=Image/The Walking Dead http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=2460564 Excellent comic about zombies - 'nuff said. Issue #27 is uploaded to my site in the Misc folder. Rising Stars - http://www.otcomixcrew2.org/index.php?dir=Image/Rising Stars 24 issue limited run comic written by J. Michael Straczynski about 113 people (called "Specials) that were born with special abilities after a mysterious light appeared in the sky. A somber comic in some ways, but it shows how society might react to people with special abilities and how those people react in kind. Some Specials grow up to be corporate superheros, and some others grow up to be villians. But towards the end, they band together to make the world a better place by using their powers to help the world. It's not as corny as it sounds as Straczynski is a masterful writer and the comic is very interesting. Of course, not everyone wants to be helped. Invincible - http://www.otcomixcrew2.org/index.php?dir=Image/Invincible A comic about a kid who knows his dad is a superhero and is waiting for the day for his powers to manifest. The day comes and of course, the first things he does is throw on a costume and calls himself "Invincible" as he's super-tough and super-fast. A perfect blend of comedy and seriousness. I'm not going to give away too much of the storyline because there is a major plot twist just 10 issues in. It deals with some typical heavy comic issues (betrayal and abandonment) while still keeping the overall tone of the comic lighthearted. Issues #28-30 are uploaded to my site in the Misc folder. 100 Bullets - http://www.otcomixcrew2.org/index.php?dir=Vertigo/100 Bullets I generally don't like crime/pulp/noir comics - but I've been drawn in by 100 Bullets. The plot has become somewhat convoluted (as it is a crime/pulp/noir comic) but the premise starts off pretty simple: 100 Bullets hinges on the question of whether people would take the chance to get away with revenge. In the beginning story arcs, a mysterious Agent Graves approaches someone who has been wronged in some way, and gives them the chance to set things right in the form of a nondescript attaché case containing a handgun, 100 bullets, the identity of the person who ruined their life and irrefutable evidence of this. He informs the person that the bullets are completely untraceable, and any police agency that recovers these bullets as part of an investigation will immediately drop that investigation and ignore anything related to it. Currently downloading issues #62-70 and will upload them as soon as I get them. #71 is uploaded to my site in the Misc folder.
