    Hi all,

Do you guys have any suggestions for a camera for a noob in photography? I'm looking for something relatively cheaper and then move on to better cameras once I start to get better.

get a P&S with manual controls and focus on your pics first rather than your gear.

Get a dslr, maybe a D70 like someone said. Get a cheap 50mm 1.8 lens

What about a D40? The price seems more reasonable

I'll definitely look at the Canon also.. will be easier on the wallet :hs:

Look for a nice used Canon 20D (cheapest), 30D, 40D body
They can be had for good prices.

Pick up the "Nifty Canon 50mm 1.8"
    Done fa sho

    dot.

the prosumer bodies are a bit easier to learn since they have larger viewfinders, 2nd wheel for quicker adjustments, and a more robust body.
