Good C++ compiler?

    I haven't had to do any coding in awhile, but my new job is requiring that I do some now. Unfortunately I didn't get my old compiler and I'm insearch of a new one. I'm willing to pay $100 CAN tops for a good one, free would be good as well.

    gcc works great as a fast C compiler, also free.

    i used borland c++ for ages just beucase i got so used to using it in all my highschool programming classes. in college we used code warrior for c/c++ and assembly. i like it a whole lot more than borland.

    gcc for the compiler with eclipse as the ide. just my suggestion though.

    well I'm trying bloodshed right now, I'll see how it treats me. I might try gcc at some point when I get some more time
