I need to write something not too strong, but not exactly "friendly" that will just completely wow her, yet not be weird.

Im lost at where to start :wiggle:

Just wanted to post a rant since its been almost a year :big grin:

Do you know this person or are you trying to get her to date you? No matter what the situation is, I can't imagine ever "rocking her world" with some clever words. More than likely it will just scare her that you put so much thought into something that is relatively meaningless such as a poem.

My bf happens to love the poems that I've written him. Writing isn't meaningless to a writer. And it's not about the words itself, but about what they mean to the writer/who it's being written to.
As for the OP you dating her, you want to date her? What's the situation?

If you're in a relationship or close to her then a poem sounds like a good idea, done that a few times and still get told by ex's they loved it. If you're not so close might be a bit too heavy and you might scare her away, sometimes better to go for a short simple message "hey you, Happy Birthday, hope you have a great day, want a hand getting drunk later?" or something to that effect.

How about : "Hey, happy birthday!"

I think the fact you remembered would be wow-factor enough.

I wrote this girl that I had a short, intense non-relationship with. It wow'd her. Be honest and be personal. Appeal to what she likes.

Here's the song in case you wanna listen: Happy Birthday, Jenn
