I'm gonna buy a belt. What brand of belt do you use and how do you like it compared to others you've used?

Also, for sizing, I'm a 36" waist for most pants.... any idea what category that puts me in? Thanks.

I'm debating getting a belt. I just turned 29, and I'm getting closer to 500 deadlift. I gotta start thinking about my back health for the longterm.

gonna use it for deadlifting, nothing else really unless i ever wanna parallel back squat, which I doubt.

why do you need it for deadlifting? Is your core not strong enough?

that's how it seems. I can do a shitload more weight with a rounded lower back than I can with good form. Lately I've been training lighter with good form to increase my core strength, but I figure a belt might help me keep things tight when working with heavier weight.

I don't really think you need one. Its going to end up being a bandaid for you.

    I agree with this statement.

I didn't start using a belt till around a 470 deadlift and a 420 squat. Once I hit those weights a belt felt so much better to breath into.

maybe so, but it's only $50 and good to have around. Who knows, maybe it'll make my butt look too big and i won't ever use it.

I have both and prefer the single prong, especially when squatting in 80 plys of gear.

Um, no offense unless you are DLing over 700 on a consistent basis I would not see the usefulness of one...

Nothing wrong with a belt but a lot of dudes use it as a crutch not to maintain solid form or tight core.
