Do any of you have belt recommendations? I'm starting to think I should be using one on my heaviest sets of deads/squats. :hs:

something leather with a single prong.

EFS' prime cut is good, though expensive. NYBB has some decent belts. I wouldn't recommend going over 10-11mm

I like my Inzer Lever belt but I'm tempted to pick up a single prong efs belt around christmas time.

Most likely because you'll waste time and energy getting that second prong through the hole. That and a single prong will hold just as well.

    yep

a belt is there for you to press your stomach/abs out onto. This require you to hold your air for the lift. By pressing out you are locking in and staying tight, the reduces the chance of injury. Most people think that by strapping on a belt they are gonna be fine, yet they go let their air out during the whole strain and get loose as fuck.

I got one for free and it was worth every penny. I think the French lasted longer when they saw the first German tank roll in than the velcro did.

edit: although it did go with my shoes.
