    You take it off. I think it's placed there so no one could come by and jack your shit... seems like a good idea. I worry about that with my sling backpack

    other thing with a rear loading bag is that you won't forget to zip the bag closed

    with front loading, if you forget to zip the bag all your stuff is going to fall out

    I can't count the number of times I left my backpack open when I was in school, its soo easy to forget

    yeah the lowepro 350 is nice

    dual zippers you take up to the top middle, then a flap goes over it. would take a pro to get in

    Am i the only one who doesn't find these backpacks useful for anything except hauling a bunch of stuff on trips?

    They're not designed to be worn and used at the same time, if you need to quickly swap/add/remove you can't, if you're out and about you have to find a place to set it down so you can access it, etc. Besides moving the contents from one place to another, they're not very convenient. :dunno:

    ya pechango. accessing these bags blow. always have to find a spot to open it and get shit out.

    but man they are nice to haul crap on trips and for protection
