MKIII is cheaper than the P22 last time I checked, but I prefer the P22...

I also prefer the P22. I have shot one and I liked it. It is also on my list of handguns to buy but I have to wait 30 days between purchases :(

eh, I have one. Great pistol, but they sure are a pain in the ass to take apart and put back together. I've never shot a P22 or even held one, but I've heard a lot of great things about them.

Ruger MKI/II/III, Buckmark, P22, Single Six if you want a revolver, etc.

I did not like the P22's frame and build, even though I was hoping it would be ergonomically similar to the P99. The Sig Mosquito is great ergonomically but I hear it has some awful technical problems.

    +1 for the MKIII
    +1 for 1911 conversion (Kimber)

I'd rather have bamboo shoots shoved under my fingernails while being waterboarded then buy a Ruger.

I have a MKIII 22/45 which I like a lot, bit I also like the P22. Both are pretty cheap but if you have bigger hands you might want to consider something other than the P22.

There's plenty of stuff to mod a Ruger. I've got a upgraded sear and hammer, I'll probably get an adjustable trigger at some point too. And eventually as funds permit I'll thread the barrel so I can put a can on it.

i may know someone trying to sell their .22 that's already has all that for like 250.....only thing is that it's been used a lot. If I were to get it what do I need to change on it?
