I sold my BCM BCG locally and we're meeting up at the range on Sunday. He said he's bringing an AR10 too. :o

Its a nice gun to shoot at the range. The range that I visit in Manchester has one for rent, my only complaint is that its heft is more forward of the grip compared to the M4's they had.

Class III dealer at my range let me shoot his FA 552, it was amazing. Even with that 9" barrel I still found it just as easy to control in FA as a 20" M16A2

556 had problems. The rifle wouldnt eject the spent casing after the shot was fired. The bolt didnt even move backward. We had to manually eject each time.

AR-10 was pretty fun. I was getting 1/2" to 1" groups at 100 yards. I was aiming at the red dot on the Shoot-N-C targets but kept hitting to the left and right of it. Stock trigger and no rear rest was the culprit. I felt like I could shoot it all day and not get fatigued. It just had a regular stock on it.

Savage in .270 WIN kicked my ass. I was hitting bullseyes at 50 yards but couldn't hit shit at 100. Trigger was horrible and I couldn't see the red dot (on shoot-n-c) through the reticle at 100 yards with the scope zoomed in. 3-4 shots in a row was enough for me. I can't wait to get another hunting rifle.

He also brought a XD .40. Looked like a compact model. I only got to shoot a few rounds through it but I didn't feel anymore recoil out of that versus my 9mm's.
