haven't seen it yet, after the last one i'm in no hurry, is it like the last one, like it's a decent movie for awhile but never ends so you get sick of it, or is it bad for other reasons this time?

It is a good popcorn movie. The one big flaw I would have to say is the length. There's no reason a movie like "Pirates" should be 2 hours and 45 minutes long!

    Exactly.

After about an hour and a half, you're pretty much asleep. There are so many convoluted sub-plot's it's really impossible to follow unless you really want to see the film. Like AKIRA, except that movie is amazing instead of fucking boring. Pirates is so bogged down with sub-plots you just lose the dialog completely.

Also, the hero of the movie is Elizabeth Swan. Why? Who the fuck knows, but the story revolves around her. That was a bit strange as well, I mean wtf. The first movie followed Jack Sparrow for the most part, second I don't really remember, but fucking Swan? She's the most shallow, boring character in the series.

Elizabeth Swan- Chick who is the daughter of a magistrate, ends up on an adventure with a childhood admirer and pirates.

That's her entire character profile, there's nothing to it, and they make her the fuckin hero of the movie. >.>

I'm just tired of movies with 200 million dollar budgets boring the piss out of me, only to put in a 25,000 budget movie that is incredibly entertaining. It makes me wonder where the money goes.

    *Calypso

They just jacked the name from the Odyssey, although the two characters are fairly unrelated. Calypso is also a southern form of music, a band name, a brand of tricycle, a Cruise company, Kalypso is a character in twisted metal, etc. And yet, I pretty much made the name up at random, nothing to do with any of that :o

Did anyone else see the Calypso Super Mushroom scene and hear 'Damn, that's a big bitch!' from deuce biggalo? I sure did, haha.

This movie by far was the worst of the three. It was the least humorous, had the least interesting action scenes, and had way to many subplots with all the deals being made between people. Also it was too long. A disappointing ending to the trilogy.

From what I've heard, the only person willing to come back is Depp. The other cast members seem to want to move on.

Anyone stay until after the credits?

And continuity question: did the boy being hung have braces? My GF thinks so.

Rating? I give it 3 frozen toes out of 5. And I didn't find it as boring as others, the double dealing/back stabbing kept my interest.
