Do any of you know where I can get one of these? I searched around and couldn't find much. I have seen some vids online. I just want something that produces a satisfying noise and can be shot over and over. Assuming such a thing is safe. Also if possible something that I can shoot with my AK, AR, and handguns. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here is an example, although I can't see what he's shooting at lol.

    Thanks in advance.

at the range this past week someone left a grey 1/4 inch steel door off of a circuit breaker. i was shooting it with the 10/22 at 75 yards and it was making a nice ding. blindarrow was shooting it with his m44 and it was dinging too. neither rounds went through it, only made powder marks. i'd go to lowes/home depot and see what they have.

the only round that was behind it to look like it made the couple holes that were in it was a .50 muzzle load

yep. its rather easy to make targets that fall down when you hit them. i prefer to sit them far away

Boy it's a good thing you threw out that term, I expect a lot of people were confused as to what exactly was going on up until your post. :coolugh::fawk:

I made a spinner target in HS but the steel was soft; a 30-06 almost penetrated the 3/4" plate at 75yds :mamoru:

First off I would use a higher carbon steel for steel targets for anything other than .22lr, it is harder and will last longer. Second don't weld higher carbon steel targets, it will make a week spot unless you have the ability to heat the target to red heat and quench it to remove any stresses caused by welding. Bolts work best because they allow you to build a stand for your target and use different sized targets for different caliber and ranges.

I am a welder and am studying materials engineering. That is my back ground for those that wonder.:wavey:

You can pick up 22 steel at like cabelas or other outdoors store.

Thicker steel for handgun and rifle you will probably have to order or know what you're looking for and pick it up at a steel shop.
