i am trying to see how this is good news....

  3. Shaolin could be bad news for Gomi, but him vs. Kid would be amazing.

    Gomi would tear tokoro apart.

except for JZ and shaolin...both those guys are huge for HERO's LW...both bigger than gomi i think....shaolin said in an interview he walks around at 190...these are the only guys that really matter except for kid

I am 99% sure that it is. Gomi can make it, but it wont be the same Gomi. He is perfect size at 160, i think any less and he is going to have a really hard time cutting or he is just going to have to lose some mass.

i mean really what made pride was the better pool of fighters and the matches they set up. hopefully now the ufc will get better with the combined fighter pool. the ufc has been looking better

better fans, better rules, bigger shows, bigger production value, less gay gladiator intros, better judging system, i can think of hundreds of things that made Pride great :wtcd:

    yeah

10/5 rounds, the production values, the marketing of fighters, yellow/red cards/purse deductions, restarting fights away from the ropes, etc.

UFC is doing great things though

Better Fans is why Price > UFC. Booing while they grapple is horrible. I guess Pride's yellow cards and scoring against passive fighters helps a ton. I hope UFC enforces that but it's doubtful because UFC would be less like Boxing so less like a "sport" :(

the yellow card system was stupid and easily abused

near the end of the Pride you can notice they weren't doing that shit as much anymore
