How do you like the SM? I'm about to get one. I suck at maintaining an angle freehand.

I like it. Fairly simple, I chipped my emerson and wore the tip down. Used the flat base and a stone to redo the tip then I sharpened it with a 40 degree profile. Sharp enough to shave hair off your hand. Puts a nice working edge on it.

I have used it for pocket knives and kitchen knives. Apparently it works for anything sharp or pointy.

On the back side of the blade? Not really. My mini commander has the conventional v grind. I can't really feel one.
