Never worked a useful job, need advice on what to wear at offices and stuff.

My whole wardrobe is basically shorts, jeans, and tshirt.

Just dress pants and a long sleeved collar shirt? Seems pretty generic, is there any way to spice it up?

What kind of job is it?

I used to work at a bank, we had to wear dress pants/shirt/tie. In the winter i'd wear a sweater or a sweater vest over it to stand out a bit.

Really depends on where you work. Shorts, jeans, t-shirts sandals... all of that is perfectly acceptable where I work. Hell I'd be out of place with dress slacks and the like.

But I know people who wouldn't dare where what I do to work. It's all about the company atmosphere.

To reiterate whats been said. I work in financial field/ broker and my old firm I would wear french cuff shirts/tie/ pinstripe suit. Now I work exclusively with educators in the school system and will often wear khaki/polo outift. Even though its basically same job description
