Go in the shade like in a loading dock or in front of some buildings. Even in a random parking lot. Just make sure you arent getting direct sunlight, it would be too harsh. Just park, shoot a bunch of shots and pick the one that you like best :o

Not sure what to use. I want to do something urban but I live in Gainesville so not many buildings.

CPL are worth their weight in gold

Golden Hour applies (early in morning, late in afternoon)

    Generally, dont shoot on grass.

    Keep it simple but interesting

Trees, Poles, massive erections, shouldnt stick out of the car

For fuck sake, dont succumb to ricer angle faggotary :hs:

    Practice.

You don't like seeing cars look like they're sinking? :mamoru:

How did you get those type of relfections off of these cars? My car is spotless and I auto detail so I know it is not because my car is not clean but I don't quite get those types of reflections.

I guess you guys are going to the lowest number apperture and then using a lower shutter speed to get these super sharp shots?

those spots have nothing to do with aperture or shutter speed. those are called specular highlights and the reason they look like that is because the car was possibly parked under a tree? when light shines through the leaves of the tree it is reflected into your eye with small shadows and highlights everywhere, making it distracting.

the reason why the reflection's on derrict's car is so clean is because he didn't have any obstacles to break the clean reflection on his car.

also...your picture is out of focus.

You get those shots/reflections when you are in very low light situations. Most the time no direct sunlight, like an overcast day. Just wait until sundown when there is still light out.
